In the Pokemon world, there are many ways to connect with Pokemon. Telepaths can do it on a basic level, being able to read thoughts. Channeler's can communicate on a deeper level. But none are quite the same as the Empowerer. A strange case, an Empowerer doesn't have any more ability to communicate with a Pokemon than a normal trainer. What they do have is an uncanny ability to use their own strange mystical prowess to boost a Pokemon's power far beyond what it can. This isn't an Ace Trainer's training, or even a Channeler using another Pokemon's power to bolster another. No, this is something else. Something far more powerful. Perhaps the best known example is Amarillo del Bosque Verde, an Empowerer powerful enough to allow her Pokemon to compete with beasts dozens of levels higher.

Spirit Energy
Prerequisites: Mystic Senses
Effect: Choose one of Attack, Special Attack, Defense, Special Defense, and Speed. Spirit Energy may be used as a Standard Action at any time to gain two Spirit Energy in this stat. Spirit Energy functions much like Combat Stages and may only be gained in combat and is lost when an encounter is over.

Arcran's Note: Spirit Energy is NOT a Combat Stage for the Trainer. It has different terminology, doesn't say it gives a Combat Stage, nothing. To be clear, Spirit Energy does not act as a Combat Stage until passed onto a Target with Empowerer.

The Class

Empowerer

Prerequisites: Spirit Energy, +2 Spirit
1 AP - Standard Action
Target: A Pokemon within X meters, where X is your Intuition Rank.
Effect: Transfer all your current Spirit Energy to the Target. Each Spirit Energy becomes a Combat Stage in the appropriate stat. Spirit Energy (Attack) would, for example, become an Attack Combat Stage.

Versatile Spirit
[Ranked 2]
Rank 1 Prerequisites: Empowerer
Rank 2 Prerequisites: Versatile Spirit Rank 1, Expert Intuition
Static
Rank 1 Effect: Choose two stats that you did not choose for Spirit Energy. When you use Spirit Energy, you may choose to gain Spirit Energy in one of these stats instead of the one chosen for Spirit Energy.
Rank 2 Effect: Gain the final two unselected stats. When you use Spirit Energy, you may choose to gain Spirit Energy in one of these stats instead of the one chosen for Spirit Energy or Rank 1 of Versatile Power.

Filtered Spirit
Prerequisite: Empowerer
Static
Effect: When using Empowerer you may choose which specific Spirit Energy to pass on instead of simply using all of it. If you pass on less than half of your current Spirit Energy in this way there is no AP cost.

Strengthening Spirit
Prerequisites: Empowerer, Adept Intution
1 AP - Free Action
Trigger: You use Empowerer
Effect: The Target gains Temporary HP equal to your Intuition Rank doubled.

Divisive Spirit
Prerequisites: Versatile Spirit Rank 2
Static
Trigger: You use Spirit Energy
Effect: You may use Spirit Energy to gain one Spirit Energy in two stats rather than two Spirit Energy in one stat.

Intimidating Spirit
Prerequisite: Strengthening Spirit
Static
Effect: Whenever you have 6 or more Spirit Energy total, all opponents within X meters, where X is your Intuition Rank, have the stat of your choice lowered one Combat Stage.

Mighty Spirit
2 AP - Swift Action
Trigger: You use Spirit Energy
Effect: You may use Spirit Energy an additional time this turn.
