Vivian was born and raised in Ekruteak, the youngest of three. When the affinity for fire began to show up in her (at first by her playing with a candle and not seeming to be harmed by it), her family was thrilled. She began to practice her abilities under Mr. Animus, the local leader. This was all in addition to her mother's abilities around darkness and energy having been passed on to her and her siblings (who ended up having an affinity for other elements as well as their inherited gifts). Animus’s best guess was that her connection to fire came from her time that she always spent playing in the Burned Tower during the days. Whatever the source, training under the local leader gave her a bit of an interest in the profession. Because of this, she has decided to try the league’s challenge. It should give her some good experience in battling, training Pokémon. At worst, she gets a much broader view of the world.

Well, or gored by a Rhydon. That would be bad.


I mean, look at that tower! To think that so long before any of us were alive, it was different. Not this destroyed thing. And yet, it has a certain…beauty to it.

Ekruteak isn't exactly the science and technology capitol of the world, but it seems to churn out more paranormal people (relatively speaking) than most other towns.
