Height: 4'5" (head to round)
Weight: 123.5 lbs.
Length: 4'8" (Head to tail), 2'11" (body)

Diet: Laprite are omnivores. While they do primarily eat kelp, they also consume small fish and other water creatures.
Characteristics: Laprite in many ways are just a smaller Lapras. They have the same body type; four flippers, the long neck, even a shell. Here is where many fo the similarities end though. The shell of a Laprite is completly smooth; the number of ridges on a shell concides with age, and Laprite are extremely young. This shell has amazing regenerative powers due to the presence of stem cells that share qualities with embryotic stem cells. This shell helps to allow Laprite to stay alive even with all the dangers of the sea. They don't even have the short horn yet that Lapras have. Laprite tend to live nearer the top of the ocean, in shallow reefs, and their coloring coincides. The bottom is amost white, so as to allow them to blend in with the sunlight above. From above, they're a light blue to coincide with the tropical waters where they live. One of the most distinctive features of a Laprite is its ears; they are quite large at this stage, especially when linked with the smal head of a Laprite.
Behavior: Laprite are extremely peaceful and docile. Rarely, if ever, will a Laprite attack unprovoked. That isn't to say that they are weak, in fact, Laprite are one of the stronger young Water Pokemon. They are omnivores as well; eating common fish occasionally while their primary diet relies upon seaweed and other aquatic plants. They have been know to be extremely sociable, even going as far as to swim straight into a hunters trap in order to meet humans. The few that are able to live past their sociable phase become extremely untrusting; time after time, their trust in humans is betrayed due to the cruel hunters that pursue them for their valuable shells.
Habitat: Laprite live almost exclusively in tropical seas. The Lapras lay them their and as they mature they will slowly begin to migrate to another sea where they eventually find their own pod to join.
Population: Laprite are extremelly rare; Lapras hae realised that humans pursue them viciously, and as such lay their eggs in hidden coves and grottos. The Laprite that escape are often either caught by a Trainer if they or lucky, or slaughtered by hunters if they are not.
Relation with other Pokemon: Laprite have generally positive relations; after all, they rarely eat actual Pokemon. They are common prey to large ocean predators such as Tentacruel, but rarely are Laprite in deep enough water to fall prey to these large Pokemon.
In the World: Laprite are viciously pursued by hunters for their shells. Due to the presence of these stem cells, unscrupulous scientists will pay through the nose for the shell, whether or not the Laprite is alive. They are also extremely valuable to trainers not only for their power, but also for the luxury ocean liner they are upon evolution.
Lifespan: Laprite live extremely long lives as long as they can avoid hunters and other such dangers. The average seems to be at least fourty years.
Egg: A Laprite Egg is quite large. It's about three feet tall and two across. Its colors are extremely similair to the sea, even possessing a camoflauge pattern to help disguise it in the sea.
Breeding: Like so many Water Pokemon, Laprite must be in water to be capable of Breeding. In addition, the Pokemon must be of a similair size.
