Pinsby, #521A, Little Beetle Pokemon
Typing: Bug
Height: 2'7"
Weight: 37.2 lbs.
Length: 2'7"
Width: 1'4"
Egg Group: Bug
Diet: Pinsby, while extremely aggressive Pokemon, are herbivorous. They do, however, enjoy preying on sentient plants, usually Oddish or Bellsprout.
Characteristics: Pinsby share much in common with their older brethren; they're stout, they're tough, and they have a big-ass horn. Unlike an older Pinsir, a Pinsby only has one long, curved horn. While much smaller, it is still capable of inflicting a large amount of damage. The carapace of a Pinsby is a much lighter shade than a Pinsir, as it is softer and less mature. Like a Pinsir, a Pinsby has extremely short, stout legs and long spindly arms. While its arms are thin, it is still quite strong, capable of carrying more than its own weight in most situations. The mouth of a Pinsby is circular, although it still possess the long, sharp fangs that a Pinsir has. One characteristic about all Pinsby is their much softer shell. As they are not as mature, their shell has yet to harden into the impenetrable suit of armor that so many are fond of.
Behavior: Pinsby act very similarly to a Pinsir. They are extremely vicious and cruel, which is odd for an herbivore. It's not even that they are simply territorial; they are flat out brutal, despite their small size. There have been many documented cases of a Pinsby attacking a Pokemon many times its size, for no apparent reason other than rage. This happens to be the single largest killer of the Pinsby population; picking fights against superior foes. This trait makes them a difficult Trainer Pokemon. They resent any sort of forfeit or surrender, and Trainers have had difficulty pulling Pinsby off a felled foe. It seems these Pokemon fight just for the fun of it, or perhaps through some primal urge. Whatever the reason, never stray too close to a Pinsby nest if you value your life.
Habitat: Pinsby commonly live in the damp and dark parts of forests.
Population: Pinsby tend to live deep in forests as Rangers are forced to drive them back whenever they get too near the edges due to their vicious natures. They are quite rare even then, and those that survive tend to be the best of the bunch.
Relation with other Pokemon: Pinsby are hostile to everything, even each other.
In the World: Pinsby, as well as Pinsir, are often used as an analogy for somebody who likes combat too much. They aren't really a sought after starter by all but the bravest (or stupidest) or trainers because they are so hard to train.
Lifespan: Pinsby tend to die from combat before they die of old age, but a Pinsby can live around 15 years.
Egg: A Pinsby Egg has a diameter of about a foot and is perfectly round. It is coated in a material similar to the carapace around the egg.
Breeding: Pinsby are difficult to breed because they like to fight. Your best bet is something that can take what they dish out and still want to breed.
