Whinetot, #505A, The Squawk Pokemon
Typing: Normal / Flying
Height: 7"
Weight: 2.7 lbs.
Length: 8" (head to tail)
Width: 3"
Egg Group: Flying
Diet: Whinetot eat fruit, nuts, and various seeds. Primarily herbivores, Whinetot rarely are forced to hunt, but in times when food is lean they've eaten Grass Pokemon.
Characteristics: Whinetot are extremely brightly colored, just as a Chatot is. The majority of their body is covered in green plumage, while the front of their wings are yellow. Whinetot lack the distinctive music-note like growth that a Chatot possesses. Their head is completely bald, having nothing on it but a small feather that sticks up. In addition, their beak is yellow, not pink. Whinetot aren't particularly fast in flight, but extremely maneuverable. They are not very good at imitating sounds, and as such are onstantly trying to mimic their more evolved form.
Behavior: Whinetot are very docile, rarely attacking anything. That isn't to say they aren't annoying though; unlike Chatot, a Whinetot will mimic just about any noise it hears, not just the ones that they want to. It's not a choice, just an instinctive reaction. Due to this, more there are more than a few foul-mouthed Whinetot in the region. When forced to stop imitating, Whinetot let out a loud shriek, for which they get their name. While annoying, Whinetot are a fairly good-natured Pokemon and fiercely loyal. While they suffer from many of the same issues as other Baby Pokemon, their cheerful imitations help them to shrug off many issues.
Habitat: Whinetot tend to live high up in the forests, in hidden nests. They are almost always out of reach of predators and Trainers alike.
Population: Whinetot aren't particularly rare, but are present throughout the region. Their screeches and imitations can often be heard high above the trees.
Relation with other Pokemon: Whinetot tend to mostly be left alone by other Pokemon. Aipom tend to prey on Whinetot as well as their eggs.
In the World: Whinetot are usually considered an annoying, but useful starter. If somebody calls you a Whinetot, it's the equivalent of being called a bag of wind, just far worse.
Lifespan: Whinetot tend to live upwards of ten years.
Egg: The Eggs tend to be about 4" tall and 3" across, completely green.
Breeding: Whinetot cannot breed until they're at least Level 20 or evolved. While they can breed with most other birds, it is suggested you do it in a secluded area, as calling it loud would be a massive understatement. The Eggs tend to be about 4" tall and 3" across.
